Staying in Lozenets
Choose your part of Lozenets by its nearest station rather than the district name alone. The streets rise as you move south, and a short distance on a map can involve an uphill walk. An address around European Union station gives a different daily route from one closer to James Bourchier.

Staying in Lozenets
Is Lozenets flat enough for easy walking?
Some routes involve slopes, particularly as you head south. Check the route between your accommodation and the metro if hills or luggage are a concern.
Can I walk to the center?
From northern Lozenets, walking toward NDK is practical. From farther south, the metro can save a substantial walk before you begin exploring the central sights.
Does staying here remove the need to plan a mountain trip?
No. You still need to choose a trailhead and check transport to it. A location in southern Sofia does not put mountain walks directly outside your accommodation.
