Palermo Cathedral tickets and rooftop planning
Decide first whether you want a church visit, the royal tombs or the rooftop route. These involve different amounts of time and physical effort, so read the current ticket combinations before joining a queue. The roof adds stairs and exposure to the weather. Leave a little time outside too, where you can compare the long southern frontage with the main entrance.

Palermo Cathedral tickets and rooftop planning
Do I need a ticket just to enter the cathedral?
Worship access and sightseeing circuits have different arrangements. Check the official site for current access to the main church and the separately ticketed areas.
Does every ticket include the roof?
No. Choose a ticket that explicitly lists rooftop access, and check whether weather or other restrictions affect the route that day.
Is the rooftop route suitable if I struggle with stairs?
Do not assume it will suit you. Ask the cathedral about the current route and accessibility before purchasing a ticket that includes the roof.
Can sightseeing continue during a service?
Services can limit visitor movement or access. Check the official visitor information and follow staff directions so you do not interrupt worship.
