Street food, Turkish markets and late bars. Lively and noisy. Good for a short stay if you like being in the thick of it.

  • Charlottenburg

    a quieter, older Berlin

The old West Berlin center, with Kurfürstendamm, the palace and good restaurants. Calmer and more formal than the east.

  • Friedrichshain

    nightlife and budget

Home to the East Side Gallery and many clubs. Younger and cheaper, with good transport links.
