Staying on the Promenade des Anglais
The Promenade is long enough that two seafront addresses can give you quite different daily journeys. Check a hotel's position against Boulevard Gambetta and Jardin Albert Ier before booking. The eastern end puts more central sights within walking distance; farther west, an inland tram stop becomes more useful. Also check whether a balcony faces the road directly.

What is near Promenade des Anglais
Musée Masséna
From the seafront opposite Rue de Rivoli, walk about two minutes to the museum gardens and the villa entrance.
Jardin Albert Ier
About five minutes east of the seafront at Rue du Congrès, the garden leads inland toward Place Masséna.
Quai des États-Unis
Walk about ten minutes east from the seafront at Rue du Congrès to continue beside the Old Town.
Eating in Promenade des Anglais
Beach restaurants offer long seated lunches, while the streets inland give you more choice for breakfast and everyday meals. Around Rue de France, compare menus before sitting down. If your hotel is farther west, identify a nearby bakery and grocery shop rather than relying on a walk into the center for every meal.
Getting around from Promenade des Anglais
Tram line 2 runs inland from the seafront. Alsace Lorraine is useful around Boulevard Gambetta, while Masséna on line 1 serves the eastern end. Walking distances vary considerably along the Promenade, so locate your accommodation's nearest stop rather than assuming every seafront hotel has the same journey.

Staying on the Promenade des Anglais
Which end reduces walking to the Old Town?
Choose an address near Jardin Albert Ier if walking to the Old Town matters most. Check the actual map location, since the Promenade continues far west.
Are the beaches sandy?
The central seafront beaches are pebbly. Beach shoes make entering the water easier, and a thicker mat is more comfortable than a thin towel.
Is a sea-facing room always quiet?
The road carries traffic, so a view does not guarantee quiet. Ask about glazing, air conditioning and whether you can sleep comfortably with the windows closed.
