Staying in Kaleiçi: finding your way around
An address inside Kaleiçi can be awkward to reach with a suitcase. Some lanes restrict vehicles, and a harbor view can mean a climb back to your room. Ask your accommodation for its nearest vehicle access point before arriving. Hadrian's Gate, on Atatürk Caddesi, makes a useful meeting point when a driver cannot reach the entrance.

How Kaleiçi (the old town) compares with the rest of Antalya
What is near Kaleiçi (the old town)
Hadrian's Gate
From the lanes around Hesapçı Sokak, allow about five minutes on foot. The paving beneath the arches is uneven.
Old harbor
Allow roughly ten minutes downhill from Hadrian's Gate. Steps and sloping lanes make the return walk slower.
Karaalioğlu Park
From the southern end of Hesapçı Sokak, walk about five minutes to the park's paths and cliffside viewpoints.
Yivli Minaret
Walk about ten minutes from Hadrian's Gate through the northern lanes, emerging near the minaret and surrounding religious buildings.
Eating in Kaleiçi (the old town)
Check whether a restaurant's tables face a busy lane or sit inside a courtyard, especially if you want a quiet meal. Seraser Fine Dining and Hasanağa Restaurant are names to look up here. For a simpler breakfast, walk toward Atatürk Caddesi for bakeries and places serving soup or filled pastries.
Getting around from Kaleiçi (the old town)
The nostalgic T2 tram follows the edge of the old town, with access near Hadrian's Gate on Atatürk Caddesi. For the T1 airport tram, walk to İsmetpaşa outside the northern edge. Allow extra time to reach either stop from accommodation down by the harbor.

Can a taxi take me to my hotel entrance?
Sometimes, but narrow lanes and vehicle restrictions can prevent this. Ask your hotel for the closest accessible drop-off point and whether staff can help with luggage.
Is the walk to the harbor suitable for a pushchair?
Some routes involve steps, steep slopes and uneven paving. Ask locally for a route using sloping streets, and expect a harder climb on the return.
Where should I arrange to meet a guide?
Hadrian's Gate is a clear landmark beside a main road. Confirm which side of the gate your guide means, since the street side and old-town side are different.
